Wasatch Angler Staff Favorite Waters
Logan River - Northern Utah
The Logan River is a gorgeous river that runs through Logan Canyon just East of the Town of Logan Utah. The Logan river is a Blue Ribbon river and offers great fly fishing for browns, and cutthroats. Most of the best fishing is accessed above Temple Fork turn out. The Logan River has stretches of slow meandering water, as well as, rocky fast rushing water. This is a great river for wading in knee deep waters and casting to pools around rocks and other obstructions. Most trout are in the 8-13" range with an occasional 18-20" trophy.
Blacksmith Fork - Northern Utah
The Blacksmith Fork is similar to the Logan River, but usually smaller in width. The river runs in a canyon just East of Hyrum Utah. This is a very popular Blue Ribbon river and the fishing is usually very good for browns, cutthroats and an occasional rainbow or brookie. The fish vary is size, but plan on catching 8-12" trout with an occasional catch of an 18-20" trophy.
